Michael has been a
good and true friend for the twenty or so years I have known him.
Originally from County Antrim in Ireland, Michael has lived in
Regina for about 30 years. He is willing to share an opinion
or two about the history and the current state of his homeland,
and the British occupation of it. He's one of Regina's best
proponents of Celtic music. He plays bodhran (Irish drum)
and sings, knows hundreds of songs many of which we have shared.
He was a member of the now disbanded Regina Celtic group Iron
Brew with Gord Fisch, Iain and Barbara MacDonald. Iron
Brew released only one CD in 1999 called Are You My
Sister?
